The Watch-to-iPhone path
Implemented; paired-device validation remains
The Watch uses a HealthKit workout session and anchored heart-rate query. It preserves actual source timestamps and sensor sample identity, then assigns session-specific sequence numbers.
Samples are saved on the Watch before transfer. WatchConnectivity sends ordered batches, with acknowledgement and retry paths. The iPhone stores source and receipt times separately.
A final sequence manifest checks whether every expected sample has arrived. Completing the exercise protocol is not the same as completing transfer; unverified research metrics remain provisional.
The Watch pulse indicates a recent iPhone acknowledgement, expiring after ten seconds. It does not validate sensor accuracy. Apple controls installation, foreground presentation and sensor cadence; one new sample every second is not guaranteed.
Supporting workspace artifacts
Source locations identify the original artifacts in the private project. Raw files are not publicly served. Hashes identify the reviewed source snapshot; they are provenance, not external certification.
